Dear Classmate,
We are writing to give you a few good reasons to come to our fifth reunion. First, Coach Bob Toledo is poised to field an exciting and competitive football team that should compete for a conference title. Second, you need to check out some amazing new facilities on campus that are worth seeing -- the Lavin-Bernick Center and Greer Field at Turchin Stadium to name just two. And how about the city? All your favorite restaurants and bars, the streetcar, the French Quarter -- it’s all here and better than you remember. Tulane has been a vital force in the rebuilding of New Orleans, and we want you to join us for a memorable weekend in one of our favorite places.
The Wave ’08 All-Alumni Reunion Party, celebrating the success of Promise & Distinction: The Campaign for Tulane, will open the reunion weekend on the evening of Friday, October 3rd. The reunion party features great New Orleans food and entertainment. Tulane staff are collecting photos and memorabilia from our class for a special “Memory Lane” exhibit – please send anything that you would like to include to kcase@tulane.edu or to the address below. There are several other exciting events scheduled for the weekend, including the homecoming game against Army on Saturday. Last year, the 5-year reunion class gave $162,559 and we want you to help us top their gift. To date, 85 of our classmates have contributed a total of $30,173. Contributions made to the Tulane Fund until the end of this calendar year will be counted toward the class of 2003 reunion gift. Remember that donations are put to use immediately to support students, faculty, and programs. Please consider giving back in a way appropriate to marking the 5th anniversary of our graduation.
