Dear Classmate,
I have always felt an affinity for Tulane and believed that I could make a difference. Since Katrina, this feeling has grown. There’s a new spirit on campus that’s worth seeing, and I’m hoping you will take advantage of our coming 35th reunion to do just that. Come back and support Tulane’s revitalization. Bring your checkbook for certain, but show up and show New Orleans and Tulane that they are not alone.
The Wave ’08 All-Alumni Reunion Party celebrating the success of Promise & Distinction: The Campaign for Tulane, will open the reunion weekend on the evening of Friday, October 3rd. The food and entertainment we associate with New Orleans will be in abundance, reminding us how lucky we are to have had four years in this unique city. Tulane is collecting photos and memorabilia for a special “Memory Lane” exhibit – please send anything that you would like included to kcase@tulane.edu or the address listed below. There are several other exciting events scheduled, including the homecoming game against Army on Saturday. You should visit our 35th reunion class page on the new reunions website http://reunions.tulane.edu for more details.
Last year the 35-year reunion class gave $462,312, and I hope that you will help us top their gift. To date, 202 of our classmates have contributed a total of $299,740 toward our class goal of $575,000. Contributions made throughout the calendar year until Dec. 31st will be counted as a reunion gift – remember that donations to the Tulane Fund are put to use immediately to support students, faculty, and programs. Let’s try and make our gift the largest ever for a 35-year reunion class. You can make a donation by returning the enclosed pledge card, calling 504-865-5794 or 888-265-7576, or online at http://reunions.tulane.edu.
Tulane is better today than it was last October and will be better next October than it is today. Come back and show Tulane that you care.
Sincerely,
