Hard as it is to believe, 2008 marks the 25th year of our graduation from Tulane, and it’s time for our 25th Class Reunion! This is the time to reconnect with old friends, the city itself, and reflect on how our Tulane experience changed our lives. There will be something for everyone: smaller events with people from our class, and larger events with alumni from other years. And of course, the city itself to explore and rediscover those places you know and love.
The Wave ’08 All-Alumni Reunion Party celebrating the success of Promise & Distinction: The Campaign for Tulane, will be a feature of homecoming weekend on Friday evening at 6pm, October 3rd. New Orleans food and entertainment will be in abundance, and a special “Memory Lane” exhibit will highlight our years at Tulane. There are several other exciting events scheduled for the weekend, including a special silver tent for the 25th reunion tailgating party before the homecoming game against Army on Saturday. We hope you will mark your calendars and plan on joining us for our 25th reunion weekend.
Last year, the 25-year reunion class gave $312,375, and we hope that you will help us top their gift. To date, 183 of our classmates have contributed a total of $197,693 toward our class of 1983 goal of $500,000. Contributions made to the Tulane Fund until the end of this calendar year will be counted toward the class of 1983 reunion gift. Gifts to the Tulane Fund are put to use immediately to support students, faculty, and programs. Tulane prepared us to make our way in the world and continues to educate an exceptional student body which is committed to academic excellence and contributing to the rebuilding of New Orleans. Please consider giving back and participating in a way appropriate to marking the 25th anniversary of our graduation.
