Dear Classmate:
Congratulations on your graduation! As commencement nears we have reflected on our time here at Tulane, and we could not be more proud to be a part of the Tulane community. During our undergraduate education we have watched as Tulane faced tremendous hardship and rose above and beyond expectations to become a better university than it has ever been before.
The hard work, tremendous talent, and financial support driving the success of Tulane is unrelenting. We are thankful for all that Tulane has given us over the past four years, and we hope you feel the same. As the class of 2008 prepares to start new adventures all over the world, we are presented with a unique opportunity to give a little something back to the place that taught us so much.
The senior class gift has been a tradition at Tulane for decades, and it provides us with the chance to leave a lasting mark on the university. In the past, senior gifts have raised funds for gardens, memorials, and other permanent fixtures which improve our campus. The Tulane University class of 2008 has a chance to make a tremendous lasting impression, but the size of the impact is all up to us.
While we are hoping that each senior can help out with a gift of $20.08, to commemorate the year of our graduation, all gifts regardless of size will play a strong role towards achieving our goal. All gifts play a part in determining our school’s “participation” (the percentage of people who give) among students, alumni, and friends, which in turn impacts our national rankings in U.S. News and World Report. By helping with any size gift, you can increase the value of your Tulane degree.
With your help, we can boost the prestige of Tulane University, beautify the campus we love, and give many generations of future students the chance to experience everything that happens only at Tulane, only in New Orleans.
Sincerely,
